Teaching on Victory Tonight at Celebrate Recovery

I have the joy and privilege of being on the teaching rotation for the Celebrate Recovery program at my church. Every other month or so, I take my turn at the podium. I don't think it's any coincidence what topic we get. I think God works it out for each presenter - to help us grow, even as we speak to encourage and inform those who come.

I had to laugh when I got lesson 15 on Victory again. This is my third year in a row! Apparently God wants me to experience more Victory in my walk with Him. I do too! I think He also wants to bless me with fresh insights to share with others. And sure enough, as I studied and prepared, He brought together seemingly unrelated elements in ways that left me speechless with wonder. I pray for the infilling voice of the Holy Spirit to speak it effectively tonight!

The question that burned in my heart was, "Why don't we experience more Victory in our lives?" We hear it is possible. History, the Bible, and all around us there are incredible examples of people living victoriously against insurmountable odds.

The answer, I discovered, has to do with my recently deceased bread machine and how it relates to 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and The Passover. Then it finishes with a flourish with the hope of Jude 1:24-25, and Ephesians 1:18-21. Curious? I hope so!

If you live in the area, I invite you to come and learn how to experience Victory in your life over the hurts, habits, and hangups that drag you down and hold you back.
